God looked around His garden
and He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough
and the hills were hard to
climb
so He closed your weary eyelids,
and whispered "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone,
for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again

Crown Chapter member Lucelle Rylands, younger sister of Patricia Whitney, passed away on June 1st, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. She had been the Crown Chapter Recording Secretary until her health issues forced her to step aside. She leaves a son, Alex, and a daughter,
Annalise who grew up attending chapter meetings with her mother. Lucelle's special gift was her unfailiing kindness and gentleness with the older chapter members, always taking an interest in them and their activities. |

Jean Stevens, Charter and Emeritus Member of Crown Chapter( 1964), passed away on Thursday January 19th, 2006 at the age of 77.
She was an antiques dealer and donated an antique bisque bust of Queen Victoria to the Victoria Home. |

In loving memory of. Sunny Engman, MBE, of Athelstan Chapter passed away on Friday, November 4, 2005.
She was a more than fifty year member of DBE. She mentored many new members and challenged them to take positions in the Chapters and on the State Board. |
